I am the Chief Executive Officer of Age UK Blackpool and District. I first joined the organisation in 2009 as a Senior Team member responsible for the Charity’s social enterprise activities – this soon allowed me to inject my passion for developing new ideas, projects and more importantly sustainable and simple approaches to supporting older people.
I greatly believe that older people should be able to live their life to the fullest and with the health challenges and inequalities we often hear about Blackpool, we feel very proud to have started to make a difference to target groups of older people – our Walking Football model being one of them.
Blackpool born & bred (a true sandgrownun) – I am also a lifelong Blackpool FC fan and season ticket holder. I enjoy living away from Blackpool now though and love the countryside where we now live but I am very proud of being a Blackpool girl.
